1. Writing Your Enrollment Number Correctly Your enrollment number is the key to your identity in the examination system.
Always write it clearly and correctly on the answer sheet.

• If your enrollment number has 9 digits, write an X (cross) in the last box.
• Do not add a zero to make it 10 digits.
• Write your Examination Centre Code the same way.
• Any incorrect or unclear number can lead to your result not being declared.

1. एनरोलमेंट नंबर सही तरीके से लिखें आपका एनरोलमेंट नंबर आपकी पहचान का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है। इसलिए इसे स्पष्ट और सही लिखें।

• यदि आपका एनरोलमेंट नंबर 9 अंकों का है, तो आखिरी बॉक्स में X (क्रॉस) लगाएँ।
• इसे 10 अंकों का बनाने के लिए शुरू में 0 न जोड़ें।
• परीक्षा केंद्र कोड भी इसी तरह लिखें।
• गलत या अस्पष्ट एनरोलमेंट नंबर लिखने पर परिणाम घोषित नहीं किया जाएगा।

2. Answer Sheet Guidelines IGNOU provides only one main answer sheet. No additional sheets are issued.

• Use each line, and do not leave blank pages.
• If you accidentally leave a page blank, write “PTO” on it.
• Be careful and write neatly so your answers are easy to read.

2. उत्तर पुस्तिका से संबंधित निर्देश परीक्षा में आपको केवल एक मुख्य उत्तर पुस्तिका दी जाएगी। कोई अतिरिक्त शीट नहीं दी जाएगी।

• हर लाइन का उपयोग करें।
• पेज खाली न छोड़ें।
• यदि गलती से कोई पन्ना खाली रह जाए तो उस पर “PTO” लिखें।

3. Signing the Attendance Sheet During the exam, you must sign the attendance sheet in the correct column, next to your name and enrollment number. If you forget to sign or sign in the wrong place, you will be marked absent, even if you attempted the exam.
So double-check your signature before leaving the hall.

3. उपस्थिति पत्रक पर हस्ताक्षर जरूर करें परीक्षा के दौरान उपस्थिति पत्रक पर अपने नाम और एनरोलमेंट नंबर के सामने सही कॉलम में हस्ताक्षर करें।

• गलत जगह हस्ताक्षर करने या हस्ताक्षर न करने पर आपको अनुपस्थित (Absent) माना जाएगा।

4. Appear Only for Courses Mentioned in Your Hall Ticket You are allowed to write exams only for the courses listed on your hall ticket/admit card.
Before submitting your answer sheet, ensure:

• Your signature is present
• The invigilator has signed
• The exam centre stamp is affixed properly

• आपका हस्ताक्षर है
• परीक्षक (Invigilator) का हस्ताक्षर है
• परीक्षा केंद्र की मोहर लगी है

5. Exam Centre Rules You must appear at the exam centre printed on your admit card, unless you have an official approval from IGNOU for a centre change. If you write the exam at a different centre for any reason, IGNOU will not declare your result.

• a writer (amanuensis)
• or extra compensatory time

Must contact their Regional Centre in advance to get official permission as per Government guidelines.

7. What ID Proofs Are Accepted? You must carry a valid IGNOU Identity Card to the exam hall.
If you don’t have it, you may show any valid Government-issued Photo ID, such as:

• Aadhaar
• Voter ID
• Passport
• Driving Licence

9. Choosing the Medium of Examination You can write your answers in the language in which your programme is offered.
Additionally, you may write in Hindi (except language and communication papers), even if your medium of registration is English. However, do not write answers in any other regional language.
Such answers will not be evaluated, and the exam must be repeated.

• आप उसी भाषा में उत्तर लिखें, जिसमें आपका कार्यक्रम (Programme) उपलब्ध है।
• हिंदी माध्यम में उत्तर लिखने का विकल्प भी उपलब्ध है (भाषा और संचार कौशल पत्रों को छोड़कर), भले ही आपका पंजीकरण अंग्रेजी माध्यम में हो।

यदि आप किसी ऐसी भाषा में उत्तर लिखते हैं जिसमें कार्यक्रम उपलब्ध नहीं है, तो आपका उत्तरांकन नहीं किया जाएगा और आपको परीक्षा दोबारा देनी पड़ेगी।

11. Validity of Hall Ticket Your hall ticket is valid only if:

• Your programme is still within its validity period
• The course codes are correctly registered
• Re-evaluation results (if any) are updated properly
• Your name is spelled correctly—report errors immediately to SRD

11. हॉल टिकट की वैधता आपका हॉल टिकट तभी वैध है जब—

• आपका कार्यक्रम वैधता अवधि में है
• आपके कोर्स सही पंजीकृत हैं
• पुनर्मूल्यांकन (Revaluation) की स्थिति अपडेट है
• आपके नाम की वर्तनी सही है (गलत होने पर तुरंत SRD को सूचित करें)

12. Strict Instructions Against Unfair Means

• Taking the answer sheet out of the exam hall is a serious offence.
• Such cases are reported to the Police and treated as Unfair Means (UFM).
• Impersonation will also be reported to the Police.

• ऐसे मामलों की सूचना पुलिस को दी जाएगी और UFM केस दर्ज होगा।
• किसी अन्य के स्थान पर परीक्षा देने (Impersonation) पर भी पुलिस कार्रवाई होगी।

13. Special Notes for Practical and Reappearance

• For practical or lab subjects (except BLIS), contact your Regional Centre for the schedule.
• Keep a copy of your date sheet for future reference.
• If you reappear for a course you already passed earlier (without applying for improvement), your result will not be declared.
• Division improvement requests must be submitted offline within six months of the mark-sheet printing date.

• अपना हॉल टिकट सुरक्षित रखें—विश्वविद्यालय इसकी प्रति सुरक्षित नहीं रखता।
• प्रैक्टिकल/लैब परीक्षाएँ BLIS के अलावा अन्य सभी प्रैक्टिकल/लैब कोर्स के लिए छात्र अपने क्षेत्रीय केंद्र से परीक्षा का समय और केंद्र की जानकारी प्राप्त करें।

• MJY कोर्स के लिए पंचांग और कैलकुलेटर लाना अनुमति है।

• यदि आपने पहले किसी कोर्स में पास कर लिया है और फिर से परीक्षा देते हैं (सुधार आवेदन दिए बिना), तो परिणाम घोषित नहीं किया जाएगा।
• डिवीजन सुधार (Division Improvement) के लिए आवेदन केवल ऑफ़लाइन और मार्कशीट जारी होने के छह महीने के भीतर करें।
